Millwright Regional Council Announces Miro Maras as Vice President

Vancouver, March 20 – The Millwright Regional Council (MRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Miro Maras as Vice President. With extensive experience in labour relations, workforce development, and industry engagement, Miro has been a dedicated advocate for UBC Millwrights and has played a significant role in expanding opportunities for members in Western Canada.

Miro currently serves as Business Manager of Local 2736, where he has been instrumental in securing work, building industry relationships, and supporting workforce development. His leadership has helped ensure millwrights in the western provinces are well-represented and have access to stable, high-quality employment.

As Vice President, Miro will work closely with the Executive Secretary-Treasurer to advance the Council’s initiatives, strengthen industry partnerships, and create more opportunities for UBC Millwrights nationwide. His experience in labour relations and workforce planning will be key in driving initiatives that support membership growth, industry stability, and long-term economic development.
