A strong voice for the region: Local 2182 of the Millwright Regional Council (MRC) opens a regional office in Saguenay
Saguenay, May 14, 2025 – Local 2182 of the Millwright Regional Council (MRC) is proud to announce the official opening of its regional office in Saguenay, marking another step in its concrete commitment to regional workforce development and recognition of the central role of this region in the Quebec economy. The projects are numerous, and the millwrights of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean are ready to play an active and decisive role.
The official opening, held on May 12, brought together union leaders and local partners from the construction and economic sectors. This attendance testifies to the strong interest in a greater union presence in the region.
This new presence in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean will allow us to provide on-site support for construction workers, deepening our knowledge of regional realities. With a team firmly rooted in the field, the Saguenay office will offer support tailored to the specific challenges of the region’s worksites and businesses. The MRC takes great pride in investing in this region, which is known for the strength of its workforce, its expertise, and its crucial role in Quebec’s economic development.
