UBC Hosts X-Energy To Advance The Future Of Clean Energy And Industry Innovation

Las Vegas, NV – The Millwright Regional Council and the Central South Carpenters Regional Council are proud to announce a joint meeting with X-energy, an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) leading the development of next-generation small modular reactors (SMRs).

This relationship strengthens collaboration across borders within the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America (UBC) and solidifies the UBC’s position as the leading skilled workforce driving the advancement of emerging clean energy technologies.

“Our relationship with the Central South Carpenters Regional Council and X-energy reflects what makes the UBC strong; collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to building the future,” said Mark Beardsworth, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Millwright Regional Council (MRC). “Together, we are not just preparing our members for new technology, we are helping shape the next generation of energy projects that will power communities, create opportunity, and sustain good union jobs across Canada and the United States.”

Through this collaboration, both Councils are working together to align training, qualifications, and workforce readiness to meet the demands of an evolving energy landscape including  X-energy’s advanced technology, creating high-value, skilled work opportunities for members across North America.
