Patrick Grix Promoted to Business Manager of UBC Millwright Local 1592 Sarnia

The Millwright Regional Council (MRC) is excited to announce that Patrick Grix has been promoted from Business Representative to Business Manager of Local 1592 Sarnia. Patrick has shown outstanding dedication as a Business Representative to supporting members, fostering strong contractor relationships, and driving local growth initiatives.

Patrick has nearly 20 years of experience in the millwright trade, progressing from apprenticeship to his most recent role as a Business Representative. Throughout his career, he has taken on leadership roles, including serving as a Project Manager for the pumps and motors program at Bruce Power, which further strengthened his operational and leadership expertise. He has also been actively involved in union leadership, serving on the Executive Board and as a Local Delegate for the past eight years, demonstrating a strong commitment to the membership and the trade.

In his new role, Patrick will lead Local 1592 with a focus on expanding opportunities for members, maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism, and ensuring the local continues to provide exceptional skilled labour to meet industry needs. His experience as a Business Representative has given him a deep understanding of members’ needs and the importance of strategic partnership development.

Patrick’s proactive approach, commitment to excellence, and proven ability to deliver results align directly with the MRC’s goals of increasing union work, protecting members’ interests, and strengthening the skilled workforce across Canada.

We congratulate Patrick on this well-earned promotion and are confident that his leadership will drive Local 1592 forward, continuing to enhance the MRC’s impact in Sarnia and beyond.
